I know that people across South London are facing huge challenges in their daily life at the moment.

Fourteen years of Conservative failure has left the highest taxes in 70 years, NHS waiting lists skyrocketing and rents and mortgages going through the roof.

Every day, I speak to people across our area who are struggling with the cost of living, poor housing standards and crumbling public services.

I will always be on your side, but we need a change of Government now to deliver much needed renewal in our area and across the entire country.

MY PLEDGES TO YOU

• I will fight for quality genuinely affordable housing that meets the needs of our communities; supporting Labour’s plans to build 1.5 million homes, improve conditions in our stock and strengthen the rights of renters.

• I will support a Green Prosperity Plan that will set up Great British Energy, a publicly-owned clean power company, to cut bills for good and make the UK a world leader in action on the climate emergency.

• I will champion our public services, continuing to support keeping our services in Vauxhall and Camberwell Green and backing plans to end tax breaks for private schools to recruit 6,500 new teachers.

• I will work to make our communities safer; supporting measures to crack down on violence against women and girls, create a new network of youth hubs and prevent young people getting drawn into knife crime.
